A picturesque and under-utilized park on the banks of the Willamette, just a little south of the city.
Dawn until dusk. Probably.
The similar, but different, George Rogers Park is just up 43 in Lake Oswego.
Our cup runneth over with riverfront parkland. Elk Rock Island, on the other side of the river, offers a lot more in the way of rocky shoreline to clamber up and over – but feels a lot sketchier. George Rogers Park is similar to this, with slightly more beach, more people and fewer trails. Up where the Willamette meets the Columbia, Kelly Point Park offers a lot of riverside beach area and some trails also.
