Pros

  • A gigantic park in a pretty spot by the lake.
  • Rent paddle boats, row boats and canoes in the summer.
  • Two playgrounds, a water spray playground, a beach area, large grassy areas to kick a ball around in, a ton of picnic tables, plus a concession stand in high season.

Cons

  • It’s a popular spot.
  • $5/car entrance fee.
  • Technically under fives are not supposed to go paddling in the lake; either for the lake’s safety or theirs. This does not seem to be enforced.
  • The Yelpers report mosquitios and bees… I haven’t been there at the wrong times myself, but just in case bring DEET and your epipen if necessary :-O
