Pros

  • It’s vast –¬†aircraft¬†hangar vast – ultrawide lens vast (yup, forgot that one) – with a huge number and variety of exhibits pitched at all levels (well, through middle school) across three gigantic halls.
  • There’s a dedicated playroom (aka “science playground) for tots on the top floor.
  • Plus there’s an omnimax cinema, cafeteria, gift shop, bathrooms and a planetarium.

Cons

  • Being by far the largest and possibly the best indoor attraction in a notoriously damp state, it’s almost constantly rammed to the rafters with other people. Surprisingly, you can usually get to what you want to see without too much of a struggle; nonetheless it’s loud and boisterous… imagine the Timbers Army, only pint-sized and with ADD.
